Mobile app basics

The Styrar mobile apps for iOS and Android put your most important social tools right in your pocket. Post, schedule, check analytics, and manage your files from anywhere. It is the same workspace you use on the web, adapted for smaller screens and quick actions.

Use mobile when you need to capture media, review a campaign away from your desk, create a short link during an event, or check whether scheduled content is on track. Use the web dashboard when you need larger planning views, deep settings, billing, or complex automation work.

What you can do in the app

  • Post and schedule - compose social posts and queue them across all your connected accounts
  • Manage your media library - browse, upload, and attach images and videos from your device or camera roll
  • Analytics on the go - check how your social posts and links are performing, anytime
  • Short links - create and manage trackable links from your phone
  • Stay notified - get alerts for approvals, mentions, and workspace activity

The mobile app is designed for speed. It focuses on actions that make sense on a phone: capturing media, editing copy, approving work, checking performance, and responding to notifications. If a feature is easier on a wide screen, the app may direct you to the web dashboard.

Your files, everywhere

The Files library on mobile is the same library you use on the web. Upload a photo from your phone, and it is available when you compose on desktop too. Everything stays in sync: your media, your posts, your links, and your workspace context.

Mobile uploads are useful for:

  • Event photos and short clips.
  • Behind-the-scenes content.
  • Product images captured in store or warehouse.
  • Quick screenshots for announcements.
  • Assets that need approval before a teammate schedules them.

For large videos, stay on a reliable connection until upload completes. If a preview does not load later, refresh the view so Styrar can request a fresh secure media URL.

Use the same email and password as your web dashboard. If you signed up with Google or another login provider, tap the matching option and follow the prompts. You will be taken back to the app automatically once you are authorized.

If your account uses two-factor authentication, keep your authenticator app available during sign-in. If OAuth opens in a browser and does not return to the app, try again on a stable connection and confirm that your device can open app links.

On a physical phone during local development or testing, the app needs an API URL the phone can reach. Localhost on a phone means the phone itself, not your laptop. Use the configured production API, a public tunnel, or a reachable LAN address when testing outside an emulator.

Mobile vs. web

The mobile app is designed for quick actions on the go. Composing, scheduling, analytics, media, and link management are available from your phone. A few advanced tools, like the automation builder and billing settings, are best managed from the web dashboard on a larger screen.

Recommended mobile workflows:

  • Upload event media as soon as it is captured.
  • Draft quick social updates and save them for review.
  • Check campaign performance while away from your desk.
  • Create short links for in-person conversations.
  • Review notifications and approval requests.

Recommended web workflows:

  • Configure billing and subscription details.
  • Build or edit complex automations.
  • Manage company membership and roles.
  • Review dense analytics reports.
  • Arrange larger content calendars.

Notifications

Enable notifications if your team uses approvals or time-sensitive publishing. Notifications can help you catch mentions, approvals, and workspace activity without leaving the dashboard open. If notifications feel noisy, review settings and keep only the channels that help you respond faster.

Troubleshooting

If the app cannot reach the server, check your connection and try again. If sign-in fails, confirm your email, password, OAuth provider, and 2FA code. If media does not preview, reopen the file or refresh the screen. For repeated issues, include your device type, app version, and approximate time of the error when opening a ticket.
