Billing and plans

Styrar plans control the limits and collaboration features available to your personal or company workspace. Billing is managed from the web dashboard, with hosted Stripe pages used for checkout, payment methods, billing details, and invoices where available. Mobile users should open the dashboard in a browser for plan changes because subscriptions are not purchased inside the mobile app.

Plans

Styrar offers a Free tier for getting started and paid plans with higher limits. See the Pricing page for current features and prices. Your plan can affect connected social account limits, scheduled post limits, short link usage, team members, brands, automation access, API access, and analytics retention.

Personal workspaces and company workspaces are billed separately. If you are invited to a company workspace, the company subscription covers the shared team workspace. Your personal workspace can remain on Free, or it can have its own subscription if you need separate limits for personal work.

If you switch between workspaces in the dashboard, always check the active workspace before changing billing. The billing page shows whether you are managing personal billing or company billing.

Trials

Paid plans include a 14-day trial. Checkout asks for a payment method up front; you are not charged until the trial ends. Stripe emails you a reminder a few days before billing starts. The checkout and billing pages show trial terms before you confirm. Cancel during the trial in Settings → Billing (or the Stripe customer portal) to avoid being charged; after cancellation, access follows the plan that applies when the trial ends.

Trials are intended for evaluating higher limits and paid features. A good trial checklist is to connect the accounts you need, schedule a realistic batch of posts, create a few short links, invite a teammate if you are testing collaboration, and confirm that analytics gives you the reporting view you expect.

Invoices and receipts

Use the billing portal linked from Settings → Billing to view invoices, update payment methods, edit billing profile details, and manage subscription details where supported by our payment provider. Invoice links may include a hosted invoice page and a PDF download.

If you do not see invoices, confirm that you are in the workspace that owns the subscription. Company invoices appear under company billing for users with billing access. Personal invoices appear under personal billing.

For accounting teams, keep billing profile details up to date before the next invoice is issued. Hosted billing pages are the safest place to update tax, payment, and address details because they write directly to the payment provider.

Changing plans

You can upgrade or downgrade subject to plan rules. Prorated charges or credits depend on the billing provider and your subscription state at the time of change. Upgrades may take effect immediately so you can use higher limits right away. Downgrades may apply at the next billing cycle, especially if the current workspace already uses features above the lower plan's limits.

Before downgrading, review:

  • Connected social accounts and platform limits.
  • Number of scheduled posts for the current month.
  • Team members and custom roles.
  • Brands in a company workspace.
  • Automations, API keys, and connected apps that rely on paid capabilities.
  • Custom domains or higher usage limits used by short links.

If the downgrade would remove a feature your team relies on, adjust the workspace first. Archive unused brands, remove inactive members, clean up old scheduled posts, or disable automations that should no longer run.

Free plan behavior

The Free plan is designed for learning the product and running a lightweight workflow. It may include lower limits for connected accounts, scheduled posts, links, or storage. When you hit a limit, the dashboard should explain which action is blocked and where to upgrade. Existing data is not automatically deleted just because you hit a limit, but creating new items may be restricted until usage drops or the plan changes.

Cancellations

If you cancel a paid plan, your workspace keeps access until the subscription period or trial rules say otherwise. After cancellation, plan limits can change. Export anything you need, review scheduled content, and make sure teammates understand which workflows may stop.
